Description

From the publisher's website: The ice fields are melting and penguins are in need of food. Players control 3 penguins that battle it out on the melting ice, trying to secure food tiles while gathering the most eggs. À la derive is a fast paced game running around 45 minutes. 2 to 4 players age 8 and UP. The box will come with french and english instructions with a language-less set of cards. Advance description: À la derive is a card management game mixed with unit placement. Each player controls 3 penguin figurines that they need to move on a grid of moving ice fields. To do so, players use all kind of cards to push or play tricks on their opponents. The goal is to control the most tiles showing fishes at the start of their turn. The fish tiles gives player new cards each turn to add to their growing deck. Throughout those cards are precious eggs that are needed to win the game. The most eggs win. You will need to carefully manage your hands between egg cards or movement and tricks cards to play on your opponents.
