From the introduction: These Ancient Wargaming rules are a set of tactical simulation rules for miniatures, which allow players to recreate and fight, historic or hypothetical battles which occurred from the rise of organised warfare to the beginning of the age of gunpowder. The rules are set out in detailed format, divided into logical chapters, and sub-chapters. In the rear are a set of charts and tables most frequently used, thus saving time and trouble when playing.
