"FLEETS is a fleet-scale combat game simulating tactical warfare between fleets on a squadron level. Players can take command of fleets as small as a frigate group to as large as an entire battlefleet! These three units contain the rules, the pieces, and the charts needed to play the basic game." A game design concepted and constructed in the span of a week, FLEETS was one of my senior project designs from CSU East Bay in 2009. It is currently undergoing testing, balancing, and mid-level development and I'm seeking a publisher. FLEETS is an abstract game of space warfare with fleet numbers measuring into the hundreds. Not quite a board game but not quite a miniatures game, FLEETS straddles both lines and is simple enough to complete a session in under a half hour. Several expansions are planned once it takes off.
