"All the excitement and drama of the Presidential Campaign is captured in this unique new game for the 80's. Politrix combines the skill and strategy of Presidential Politics with humor & fun!! Race against opposition as you raise funds, buy votes, and form party tickets on the way to becoming President of the United States." Basic roll-and-move with three circular tracks: fundraising, campaigning, and the election. The "unique" aspect of the game is that when players move into the middle (campaigning) track they must declare a political party (Democan or Republicrat) and only one player of each party may advance to the inner (election) as that party's nominee. The game comes with: a board, 6 plastic tokens, two-page rules, 2 six-sided dice, scorepad, two sets of ballots (33 Democan & 33 Republicrat, 6 @ 50 votes & 27 @ 100 votes each), two event decks (25 "Campaign Strategy" cards and 40 "Between the Headlines" cards), paper money, and a "33rpm recording vital to your campaign" with strategy hints.
