Description
A card game of matching pairs dedicated to Princess Alexandria of Denmark, who married Edward VII of Wales in 1863 at Windsor. The game consists of 48 flower cards, each flower being assigned to a month of the year (four flowers for every month). The bridegroom, the myrtle sprig from February, is laid down on the table with the players only adding flowers to the centre if they are in pairs due to the month they bloom. The players draw from their neighbours going round the table and eventually the bride, the snowdrop also from February, will be the last card to be paired with her groom.
